Just back from a Canadian tour of the Wide Alley. Thanks everyone in Vancouver, Victoria, & Ottawa! Fantastic review in allaboutjazz. And just finishing a great run of Dream Percussion - a project for kids with brilliant sound sculptures designed by Sulja Nezovic.

Lots of action for my piece "Old MacDonald's Yellow Submarine:" Firstly, Margaret Leng Tan's fantastic new release is now out on Mode Records. Get your copy now! Secondly, the piece was selected for the "recommended list" of the International Rostrum of Composers, which means it'll be featured on participating radio networks throughout the world!

An amazing week with David Chesworth & Clocked Out Duo had us combining evocative field recordings - machines, nature sounds, rugby matches (!) - with extended piano and percussion techniques. Thanks everyone for coming out to see us in Brisbane and Melbourne. Also had an interesting week with the Encounters Festival...and a premiere of a new work by The Song Company and The Golden Orb ensemble - called "You gao," I used a traditional Sichuan street song which slowly becomes swallowed up by ever tangling loops.

Thanks to Michael and Margaret and everyone at the See Hear Now Festival. Was a great weekend in Townsville... especially great to play and hang with Rod Cooper, Mike Majkowski, and Mike Cooper!

Had a fantastic time in NY for Margaret Leng Tan's Carnegie Hall premiere of my piece "Old MacDonald's Yellow Submarine." Also great to meet up with the Either/Or crew, who premiered a new piece of mine "Yellow Fog" on their spring fest.
