Erik Griswold, Co-Director
Eclectic Australian-American musician Erik Griswold fuses experimental, jazz and world music traditions to create works of striking originality. Specializing in prepared piano, percussion and toy instruments, he has created a musical universe all his own that is "sincere" (neural.it), "playful" (igloo magazine), "colourful and refreshingly unpretentious" (Paris Transatlantic). The limitless creativity of Vanessa Tomlinson has spawned significant contributions in the fields of solo percussion, contemporary chamber music, improvisation and performance art. As a soloist she has worked closely with influential European composers Vinko Globokar and Brian Ferneyhough, prominent Australian/American composers Erik Griswold, Liza Lim and Anthony Pateras, and instrument builder Rosemary Joy. An accomplished percussionist in his own right, Paul Lin has been very active in the contemporary music scene of Brisbane for several years, performing with chamber and percussion ensembles and curating concert series.
