A collaboration with artist David Murphy for the Melbourne Town Hall organ.

“Pianist/composer Erik Griswold is used to playing keyboards with unusual sounds and dimensions. Typically, his performances feature either prepared (grand) piano or toy pianos and miniature music boxes.

Tomorrow the Brisbane-based musician will apply his creative imagination to the largest instrument in the southern hemisphere: the Grand Organ in the Melbourne Town Hall.

Griswold's new work for organ (commissioned by the City of Melbourne) will form part of The Current, an elaborate cross-artform event inspired by the history and design of the Melbourne Town Hall.”
